Who I am
I'm Brett, owner of Kridana Outdoors. I'm passionate about helping people realize their dreams of living a Van and Adventure Vehicle lifestyle. I’ve been an outdoors enthusiast all my life, starting with camping in the desert as a kid with my family: sometimes in a tent, sometimes out of the back of Dad's station wagon and later with a cab-over camper. When I got old enough to have my own Adventure Vehicle, I built my '85 Toyota truck to tackle the tough trails AND have a place to shelter from the elements. As the years went by and my situations changed, so did my outdoor activities and vehicles. As kids got added to the mix, larger RV's became part of our life. Cab-over campers, tent trailers, RV trailers, VW campers... they all had their place. After enjoying these different ways of exploring the outdoors comfortably, and now that my crew is back down to me and my wife, it was finally time for the camper van project I'd been dreaming about for decades. We travel all over the western US, avoiding the interstates and staying on dirt as much as possible. We enjoy the freedom of our van conversion and want to help others realize their dreams!
I haven't played with just campers. I've been into Jeeps, motorcycles, boats, bikes... you name it. I grew up around my Dad and Granddad's full shops, learning about lathe and mill work, woodworking, welding and in general how to build things to function properly and hold up to extreme conditions. For my entire childhood my Dad was building a 32' sailboat in the back yard, teaching me wood working, fiberglass and general fabrication skills. In addition to my wide range of experience, I hold a mechanical engineering degree, which allows me to "do the math" to make sure my creations are going to work as intended and go the distance.
Let me apply my experience to your custom van conversion, marine or adventure vehicle project... I love a challenge! More than that, I love the smiles I see when someone see's their dream become a reality.
